musical christmas
This year the girls had their piano recital in a nursing home in Coeur d'Alene. Alice played We Three Kings and Adaline played The 12 days of Christmas. They did so well. We are so proud of their hard work. They put in lots of time practicing. Adaline played her song 10 times a day, all 12 verses. I have to say, at times I felt like I was going bonkers, but she was determined to master that song. Adaline also played her song at the Betty Kiefer Elementary Christmas program. It was so cute to see all her friends gathered around the piano singing while she played. At the same program, Jack sang his heart out. He is so loud. At one point all the other kids were unsure of the words to a song, but he was just belting it out. They followed his lead. It was hilarious. I'm so grateful for music in my life. I love that my kids want to sing and play and make music. I hope they don't get tired of it.

This is so much responsibility!! I see the concentration on her face. It is really, really hard to play while people sing. My verification word is 'fumbo', which is what I do when I try to play while people sing. Please tell her how very proud of her I am!
Great Christmas pics! Looks like tons of fun. Where's the ugly sweater pics though? :) Pass on my congrats to the girls and pat yourself on the back for encouraging and enduring a lot of piano practice! Miss ya!
