Green- ish Thumb

Here are a few pics of some plants Joni and I put in the bed next to the shop. Hopefully by the end of the summer we can make some progress on all the other flower beds.

alex, amanda & stanley were here

Jacob's little sister and her family came to town a couple weeks ago. We had an excellent time together! We have been waiting to meet Stanley forever!(He is 1 month older than James) We took a little walk around the house... I love our place! We did some other fun things too, like hiking Tubbs Hill near downtown Cd'A, riding the four-wheeler and roasting marshmallows off the patio but I couldn't get the pictures to work.

These are some pics of the kids swimming in lake Pend Oreille in Sandpoint. It makes me really happy that my kids love the water just like me! They might even like it more than me because I didn't get in past my knees. It was super cold. Before we went to the city beach we checked out the farmers market and had a picnic in the park. I love Sandpoint! It has great little shops and restaurants and has kept it's small town charm even though the developers are going mad. I really hope it stays this way.

we love visitors!

When we started this blog I really didn't ever think I would go so long without posting. It seemed like it would be so easy to keep up. I did not ever want to try to catch up on what was going on in our lives either, way to overwhelming. But here I am and guess what? It is not too bad reliving good times well over a month later. I'm not going to make a habit of it though.
My mom came for a quick visit over Memorial Day weekend. The weather was beautiful so we got out the wiffleball and bat. We also did some major planting, 7 upright junipers and a huge lilac. There was no slacking and taking pictures of that wrestling match. Who knew how heavy a lilac could be?!
